NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU), New York'sHometown Airline™, today announces the intent to serve two in-demand destinations – Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (a) and Savannah/Hilton Head – with non-stop flights from New York's JFK International Airport.
Twice-daily non-stop service between Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), convenient to both Georgia and South Carolina, and New York starts February 13, 2014. Flights are available today at www.jetblue.com/new for as low as $79 one way for travel between February 13 and March 31, 2014. Blackout dates apply (b).
JetBlue also plans to begin service to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (POS) with one daily non-stop flight from New York on February 24, 2014. Additional service from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Fla. will begin on May 1, 2014 with one flight a day. These flights are subject to receipt of government approval. Flights will be available for sale in the coming weeks.
Savannah/Hilton Head will be JetBlue's 83rd BlueCity. In addition to JetBlue's non-stop service toNew York, customers will be able to connect to other destinations in the United States includingAlbuquerque, NM; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA and San Francisco, CA, among others. Port of Spain will become the airline's 84th BlueCity (a). Customers traveling from Port of Spain to New York will be able to connect onwards to destinations including Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV.

Destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean now make up almost one-third of JetBlue's route network. In the Caribbean, JetBlue is the largest carrier in terms of capacity in both Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, offering more flights than any other carrier. The airline will also begin service to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, this winter, subject to receipt of government approval. JetBlue currently flies to 13 countries outside the United States, including Aruba, Barbados and The Bahamas.

JetBlue's flights from New York and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood to Port of Spain will be operated with its Airbus A320 fleet with seating for 150 passengers (a). Service from Savannah will be operated with its 100-seat Embraer E190 fleet.
